Sophie is beginning a career in conservation and ecology following a traineeship at The Natural History Museum.
Her training has focused on identification of difficult UK groups, such as beetles and wasps, but she is also really interested in birds, and loves walking and exploring the countryside.
She volunteers with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
"Knepp is a wonderful place to explore and learn about rewilding and how conservation in the UK can look on a large scale. It is a really inspiring place to be. I particularly enjoy being in the Wildland at dawn where everything is beginning to wake up and you can spot herds of deer in the morning mist while listening to the dawn chorus."
