Guided by one of our expert ecologists and carefully tailored to suit the season and weather conditions, your safari will take you to current ‘hot spots’ of wildlife interest.
You’re very likely to see our free-roaming herds of large herbivores – longhorn cattle, Exmoor ponies, Tamworth pigs, red and fallow deer.
Our all-terrain, open-sided 14 seater Pinzgauer (Austrian Troop Carrier) takes you on rough tracks so, while we do our utmost to ensure your comfort, the ride can sometimes be a bit bumpy.
We’ll stop at some of our wildlife ‘refugia’ to look for slow-worms, grass-snakes, toads, and voles, and cross our fingers for sightings of stoats, weasels, red kites, buzzards and ravens. Our spectacular tree-platforms offer panoramic views and a close-up of life in the canopy.
There’ll be a little walking when we stop to look at wildlife so you’ll need to be able to cope with uneven ground, and to get in and out of the back of the Pinzgauer, which has two steps.
Half-way through your safari we’ll stop in a beautiful spot for a refreshing drink and locally made brownies.
But we are unable to offer vehicle safaris at this time due to social-distancing restrictions.
Please contact us if you would like to go on the mailing list to hear when we’re able to offer them again.
Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund or alternative date for your safari booking. We also cannot guarantee the great British weather, or that you will see your target species. Nature is unpredictable! However we’re confident you’ll enjoy your experience with us, come rain or shine, and there’s always plenty of wildlife to see. Our safaris are suitable only for children of 12 and over.
