Set in the UK’s pioneering rewilding project, Knepp Wilding Kitchen is a hub of community, nature and food. Our menu is shaped by the land – seasonal, sustainable, and inspired by Knepp’s rewilding ethos. We celebrate the best of seasonal British ingredients, from Wild Range meat grown on Knepp, organic produce from our on-site regenerative Market Garden and sustainable fish caught by day-boat on the Sussex coast.

Spring at the Wilding Kitchen
Spring at Knepp Wilding Kitchen marks a shift towards lighter, brighter flavours, guided by the arrival of our new head chef, Alex Dome. His approach is rooted in simplicity – letting high-quality, seasonal ingredients speak for themselves. Working closely with our on-sight regenerative Market Garden and the land around us, the menu changes with what’s growing now, always staying connected to place and season. It’s thoughtful, unfussy food that feels right for the time of year.
Friday BBQ Evenings
Join us on Friday evenings from May to September for our popular BBQ Nights in the courtyard at Knepp Wilding Kitchen. Framed by the rewilding landscape, these laid-back evenings bring seasonal feasts from the grill, live music, and the glow of firepits as the sun goes down. Our chefs cook over fire with meat from Knepp, fresh produce from the market garden, and ingredients inspired by the land around us.
If rain falls, we move indoors to our candle-lit barn – just as atmospheric, and just as delicious.
Booking is strongly advised as spaces fill quickly.
